This week we will conclude our series through the Pentateuch (the first 5 books of the Bible) by finishing up Deuteronomy. As we pray that God would use our local church to be a blessing to this community and the surrounding area through the Gospel of Jesus, we must remember that it is not our wisdom or charisma that will draw people. Worship is not just something that we attend on a Sunday morning, but something we do daily because God is just as worthy on a Thursday as He is on Sunday morning. As you prepare your heart to gather with God's people this Sunday, take the opportunity to worship privately through Scripture reading and singing songs to Him/about Him. Don't forget to be working through our church-wide Scripture memory for this month. Spend time with your community group, family, and other friends reciting Scripture together. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:9-10

Pray for those people in your life by name, and pray for opportunities to share the hope of Jesus with them - acting obediently and faithfully when those times come, trusting the Holy Spirit with the results.

If you were with us on Sunday at our worship gathering, you heard some rather exciting news about how we are continuing to move forward on mission in Southern Indiana. Beginning the first week of September, we will be adding 2 new Community Groups to our existing 4. Hopefully, this will allow more opportunity for people to get connected and for those groups to obediently go out into those communities proclaiming the Good News of Jesus. With this comes a slight adjustment of another group as well, so please see the below for all available nights, times, and locations: Jeffersonville Groups: Tuesday nights @ 630pm Wednesday nights @ 6pm (changed from Mondays) Thursday nights @ 630 pm New Albany Groups: Monday nights @ 6pm (starting 9/2) Wednesday nights @ 630pm Clarksville Group: Monday nights @ 6pm (starting 9/2)

We gather together each week, not out of habit or moral duty, but to remind ourselves and one another that it is only by the grace of God that any of us are rescued from our sin. Throughout Gods word, we are told to “bless the Lord.” What does this mean? Today we celebrated life in Christ through the symbol of baptism! What a great joy it was to hear Josiah’s testimony of his parents who have faithfully discipled him over the years.
